You have a choice of either beachfront view or mountain view, but either way you’re only a short walk from the shore. There are nine tents available for occupancy, with nine more scheduled to open in October.
These tents are sturdy too, made from 360gsm canvas (that’s grams per square meter and is the metric measurement of the weight of a fabric) and heavy-duty cotton canvas. They are fitted with zipped mesh windows and PVC windows, allowing you the choice of enjoying the cool sea breeze or zipping up to let the aircon do its work. Whatever the weather – and in this part of the world it’s usually hot and sunny – you’ll still feel secure and sleep soundly.
Each tent is furnished with two queen size beds and can accommodate two people. And they are topped off by beautiful native-style sisal rugs.
Inside, you’ll feel like a Bedouin king or queen. The interiors are simple but beautifully chic and comfortable, with a neutral color scheme and plenty of space to relax. There is one comfortable designer seat, two pouffes, a small table, Japanese paper pendant light, bedside lamps, fridge freezer, one big electric fan and three smaller fans. Air-conditioning is available only at night during the dry season. There’s a small safe inside the tent and lockers at the front office for your valuables.
